My Journey
I grew up between two worlds—Moroccan warmth and American comfort—shaped by the scent of cinnamon and orange blossom water drifting from my dad’s kitchen and the buttery aroma of classic chocolate chip cookies cooling in my mom’s oven. That blend of cultures is where my love for baking first took root.
Today I live in sunny California, where fresh ingredients are always in season and creativity never runs out. I’m 31, and most days you’ll find me elbow-deep in cookie dough, perfecting new fillings or scribbling recipe ideas on flour-dusted scraps of paper. What began as an after-school urge to bake something “better than store-bought” transformed into a full-time passion… and eventually into this blog.
Over time, Sweet Craft Recipes grew bigger than just one pair of hands and that’s when Ava Calder joined the team. Ava helps with content support, organization, and behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the blog running smoothly. She brings a thoughtful eye and a creative spirit to every project, and I’m grateful to have her as part of this sweet little corner of the internet.
What I Create
My blog is my kitchen diary, filled with the recipes I wish someone had handed me when I first started.

I love weaving traditions together taking almond stuffed briouats and transforming them into marzipan filled brownies, or adding ras el hanout to brown butter cookie dough for a flavor twist people never expect. Not everything works on the first try (or the second), but that’s where the magic happens: in the messy experiments that eventually become unforgettable desserts.
My Mission
My goal is simple: bring joy through flavor.
Whether you’re trying to impress friends or just want a midnight snack you can trust, I want my recipes to make your kitchen feel like home. You don’t need fancy tools or professional training just curiosity, good ingredients, and a little patience.
