These delicious Red Velvet Oreo truffles are the perfect little treat to add to your Christmas cookie boxes! They feature a hidden red center and a festive green exterior.

Ingredients

Red Velvet Oreos – 1 package (22 cookies)

Cream cheese, softened – 4 oz

Green candy melts – 7 oz

Red heart sprinkles – 22 pieces

Instructions

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form. Add in the softened cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.

Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough, roll it in between the palm of your hand then place in the prepared baking sheet. Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second increments mixing in between every time. Add 1/2 tsp coconut oil if needed for thinning.

Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each truffle ball into the candy melts coating it evenly then place on the baking sheet.

Place the leftover candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle on top of the truffles before placing a sprinkle heart on top.

Allow those to set in the fridge for a few minutes then enjoy!

Notes

• Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in your truffle dough.

• If you don’t have a food processor, place cookies in a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin.

• Keep the truffles chilled right up until dipping to ensure they don’t fall apart in the warm chocolate.
