Quick and easy air-fried apple pie bombs with a sweet apple filling and a crispy cinnamon-sugar coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tube (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 count)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the chopped apple, packed brown sugar, apple pie spice, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Stir well and set aside.
  3. Separate each refrigerated biscuit. Gently separate each biscuit horizontally into two layers.
  4. Flatten each biscuit half to 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Place 1 tablespoon of the apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit half.
  6. Bring the edges of the dough together over the filling and pinch firmly to seal into a ball.
  7. Lightly grease your air-fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  8. Place the apple bombs in a single layer in the greased air-fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  9. Spritz the tops of the bombs with non-stick spray.
  10. Cook in the air fryer for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  11. While the bombs are cooking, combine 3/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon in a shallow dish.
  12. In a separate small bowl, mix the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  13. Once cooked, immediately toss the warm bombs in the butter mixture until coated.
  14. Then, toss the butter-coated bombs in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  15. Serve warm and enjoy your Air-Fryer Apple Pie Bombs.

Notes

Ensure apples are finely chopped for even cooking.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches.
Seal the biscuit bombs tightly to prevent filling from leaking.
Toss bombs in coating while still warm for best adherence.
