A luxuriously rich, no-bake chocolate pie with a fluffy filling and an iconic cherry topping, all nestled in an easy Oreo crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
  • 2 ½ cups Oreo crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Place the chocolate chips in a large heat-proof bowl.
  2. Heat ¾ cup heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it starts to simmer (do not let it boil).
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons butter to the chocolate chips and cream mixture.
  5. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir the ganache until it is smooth.
  7. Let the ganache rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes to cool.
  8. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or shortening.
  9. Combine the Oreo crumbs and 6 tablespoons melted butter in a small or medium bowl.
  10. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated in butter.
  11. Firmly press the crumbs into the pie dish along the bottom and up the sides.
  12. Freeze the crust for 20 minutes.
  13. Fold the thawed whipped topping into the cooled chocolate ganache.
  14. Pour the chocolate filling into the frozen pie crust.
  15. Smooth the chocolate filling out with a spatula.
  16. Cover the pie with plastic wrap.
  17. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  18. Before serving, prepare the whipped cream topping.
  19. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer at high speed to whip together the cold 1 cup heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar.
  20. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form (about 5-6 minutes).
  21. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled pie.
  22. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the whipped cream.
  23. Serve chilled.

Notes

Ensure heavy cream for ganache just simmers, do not boil.
Cool ganache completely before folding in whipped topping to prevent melting.
Press Oreo crust firmly into the pie dish for a sturdy base.
Chill the pie for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, for best setting.
