Sweet and salty chocolate covered pretzels, perfect for gifting or a festive treat, easily customizable with various toppings.

Ingredients

  • 18 pretzel rods
  • 10 ounces chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
  • assorted Christmas sprinkles of your choice
  • 6 peppermint candies finely chopped
  • 8 Andes Mint Chocolates finely chopped
  • assorted cookie icing in the tube

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate melting wafers into a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Melt chocolate wafers according to package directions, being careful not to overheat.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate into a tall, skinny glass.
  4. Place white chocolate melting wafers into another microwave-safe bowl.
  5. Melt white chocolate wafers according to package directions, being careful not to overheat.
  6. Pour the melted white chocolate into a second tall, skinny glass.
  7. Dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate (either dark or white) about half the length of the rod.
  8. Coat each dipped rod immediately in sprinkles and chopped toppings of your choice.
  9. Lay the decorated pretzel rods on parchment paper.
  10. Allow time for the chocolate to set completely.
  11. Repeat the dipping and decorating process with the remaining pretzel rods.
  12. Once the chocolate has set, add decorative lines using cookie icing to desired rods.
  13. Let the pretzel rods dry completely until the icing is firm.
  14. Package or serve the chocolate covered pretzels.
