Indulge in the delicious flavors of a cinnamon roll for breakfast with these easy-to-make overnight oats.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats regular or gluten free
  • 3 tbsp vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • ½-1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 – 3 tsp brown sugar (or maple syrup)
  • pinch of sea salt optional
  • 1 T maple syrup (for drizzle)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (for drizzle)
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tsp melted butter (for icing)
  • a drop of vanilla (for icing)
  • milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients listed above in a jar or container that can be sealed.
  2. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Store the sealed container in the fridge overnight.
  4. In the morning, add more milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.
  5. To make Cinnamon Drizzle: Whisk together 1 tablespoon maple syrup and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  6. Drizzle the cinnamon mixture over top of the oats.
  7. To make Icing Drizzle: Whisk 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon melted butter, and a drop of vanilla.
  8. Add milk 1 teaspoon at a time to the icing mixture until desired thickness.
  9. Drizzle the icing mixture over top of the oats.
  10. Eat warm or cold.

Notes

Use rolled oats, not instant, for the best texture.
Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
Chia seeds are crucial for achieving a thick, creamy texture.
Adjust the sweetness to your personal preference.
