A delightful and easy-to-make cheese ball featuring tangy goat cheese, sweet fresh cherries, and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup pitted cherries, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey, plus more for drizzling
  • crackers bread, apples, pears, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Place softened goat cheese into a medium bowl.
  2. Add minced pitted cherries to the bowl.
  3. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey to the bowl.
  4. Combine goat cheese, cherries, and honey thoroughly until well mixed.
  5. Spray your hands with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Roll the cheese mixture into a single ball.
  7. Place finely chopped pecans into a shallow bowl.
  8. Roll the cheese ball in the pecans.
  9. Gently press the pecans into the cheese ball until fully coated.
  10. Wrap the coated cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap.
  11. Refrigerate for at least several hours to allow flavors to blend and cheese to firm up.
  12. When ready to serve, remove the plastic wrap.
  13. Place the cheese ball on a serving board.
  14. Drizzle additional honey over the cheese ball.
  15. Serve immediately with crackers, crusty bread, apple slices, or pear slices.

Notes

Ensure goat cheese is softened for easy mixing.
Mince cherries finely for best texture.
Use nonstick spray on hands to prevent sticking.
Chill the cheese ball for at least 2-3 hours for best results.
