A delightful and easy-to-make appetizer featuring creamy goat cheese, roasted garlic, and a vibrant coating of fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 – 8 oz packages goat cheese, softened
  • 1 bulb roasted garlic, finely chopped
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped herbs (I used a combo of rosemary, thyme, & chives)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened goat cheese into a large bowl.
  2. Add the finely chopped roasted garlic to the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt into the bowl.
  4. Mix all ingredients well until thoroughly combined and smooth.
  5. Chop your fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, and chives) and spread them into a single layer on a clean cutting board or plate.
  6. Turn the goat cheese mixture out into your hands.
  7. Gently shape the mixture into a firm, round ball.
  8. Roll the goat cheese ball in the chopped herbs, ensuring it is completely coated.
  9. Serve immediately with fresh vegetables and crackers, or refrigerate for enhanced flavor.

Notes

Ensure goat cheese is softened for easy mixing.
Finely chop roasted garlic for even flavor distribution.
Chilling for 12 hours or more significantly improves flavor.
Press herbs gently to ensure they adhere well.
