A creamy, savory cheese ball packed with smoky beef and briny olives, perfect for any gathering or snack time.

  • 1 ½ (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 small Vidalia or other sweet onion, minced
  • 1 (2.5 ounce) package thinly sliced smoked beef, chopped
  • 1 (2.25 ounce) can pimento-stuffed green olives, chopped
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Place softened cream cheese into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add minced onion to the bowl.
  3. Add chopped smoked beef to the bowl.
  4. Add chopped pimento-stuffed green olives to the bowl.
  5. Drizzle in 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Combine all ingredients in the bowl until evenly blended.
  7. Form the mixture into a semi-ball shape in the bowl.
  8. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
  9. Refrigerate the mixture until firm, at least 2 hours.
  10. Place a large sheet of waxed paper on a flat surface.
  11. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts evenly over the waxed paper.
  12. Remove the firm cheese ball from the bowl.
  13. Roll the cheese ball in the walnuts until completely covered.
  14. Transfer the coated cheese ball to a serving plate.
  15. Alternatively, rewrap with waxed paper and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for easy blending.
Chop all additions (onion, beef, olives) very finely.
Don’t skip the chilling step; it’s crucial for firmness.
For extra flavor, lightly toast the walnuts before chopping.
Serve with your favorite crackers, pita chips, or vegetable sticks.
