Buttery shortbread crust topped with semi-sweet chocolate chips, crunchy pecans, chewy caramel bits, and a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk for a gooey, irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of fine sea salt (optional)
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups caramel bits
  • 12 ounces sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 7×11-inch baking dish with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and light brown sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Slowly add flour (and optional salt) and mix until just combined. Press dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake crust for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and evenly sprinkle chocolate chips, pecans, and caramel bits over the crust.
  6. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top, covering as much surface as possible.
  7. Return to oven and bake 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Allow bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting out foil and slicing into 12 bars.
