A rich, crunchy vegan snack made with pecans, vegan butter, and unrefined sugar. Easy to make and perfect for gifting or snacking.

  • 1 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1/4 cup unrefined cane sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium pan over medium-high heat, combine pecans, sugar, and vegan butter.
  3. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon for 5 minutes, until the sugar and butter melt and coat the nuts. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the parchment paper. Use a silicone spatula to spread it into a thin layer, then separate the nuts quickly.
  5. Let cool completely at room temperature until hardened. Store in an airtight container for up to a month.
